Dubai: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have carried out massive airstrikes targeting key military installations in Tehran and central Iran. According to the IDF, the targets destroyed include an underground ballistic missile manufacturing facility and a military academy.
The mission involved over 80 Israeli fighter jets, which dropped approximately 230 bombs on various targets. Among the sites hit was an underground ballistic missile production and storage center where hundreds of Iranian regime military personnel were stationed. This site also housed military headquarters and bunkers. Another storage facility containing missile launch systems and bunkers was also struck.
Additionally, the Imam Hossein University—the military academy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)—was targeted. This facility had been serving as an emergency assembly center for the IRGC during the conflict. The Israeli military stated that as the war enters a new phase, attacks on Iran's weapon manufacturing plants and missile launch systems will be intensified.
Israel Destroys Khamenei's Underground Bunker
In a powerful strike, Israel destroyed an underground bunker in Tehran belonging to Iran’s former Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The IDF reported that senior regime officials had been using this bunker. Joint US-Israeli airstrikes against Iran are reportedly ongoing.
The report claims that Israel had killed Khamenei during the initial phase of the war; while he was at his complex at the time, he was not inside the underground bunker. U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that strikes will not cease until Iran surrenders unconditionally. IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir remarked, "We are dismantling the terror regime in Iran and will utilize every opportunity to deepen our achievements."
Approximately 50 Israeli Air Force aircraft dropped nearly 100 bombs on the bunker, resulting in its total destruction. Located beneath the regime's leadership complex in Tehran, the bunker featured a vast network of tunnels and rooms spanning several streets. The Israeli military noted that senior officials continued to use the complex even after Khamenei’s death. It remains unclear if there were casualties in this specific strike.
Since the beginning of the conflict, Israel has repeatedly targeted administrative centers in Tehran. On Tuesday, the Iranian Presidential Bureau and the Supreme National Security Headquarters were destroyed. Reports also indicate that a Friday strike targeted Asghar Hejazi, the acting Chief of Staff in the Supreme Leader's office and one of the most influential figures in the Iranian regime.
On Friday alone, Israel attacked over 400 military sites in western Iran, including ballistic missile launchers and drone warehouses. Since the war's onset, Israel has reportedly dropped more than 6,500 bombs on Iran.

Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has issued a warning, stating they are "waiting" for US forces arriving to escort ships through the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Maritime traffic in the region has been disrupted as the conflict escalates.
IRGC spokesperson Ali Mohammad Naeini issued this challenge following statements from the US Energy Secretary regarding the US Navy’s readiness to secure tankers. Naeini referenced the 1987 incident involving the American supertanker 'Bridgeton' and recent attacks on tankers as a warning to the United States.
Explosions Reported in Dubai and Bahrain
As part of Iran’s retaliatory strikes against various targets in the Gulf region, loud explosions were reportedly heard in Dubai and Manama, the capital of Bahrain.
Two explosions were heard in Dubai, while one was reported in Manama, where warning sirens were activated. The Bahraini Ministry of Interior issued a statement via X (formerly Twitter), urging "citizens and residents to remain calm and move to the nearest safe locations."
