Kozhikode: Famous sports coach OM Nambiar, who gifted athletes including PT Usha to the nation, has passed away.
He was 90 years old. He had been in bed for some time following the paralysis. He died at his home in Maniyoor near Vadakara.
This year, the country honored him with the Padma Shri. Dronacharya was also awarded in 1986.
Nambiar was the coach when PT Usha competed in the 1984 Olympics.
