Putin says Russia ranks first in Europe in terms of GDP

 

ST. PETERSBURG:  Russia is Europe’s number one in terms of gross domestic product, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Russia is already ranking fourth in the world in terms of gross domestic product. And is Europe’s first. <…> These are very significant indices," he told the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
