MOSCOW: Russia consistently and persistently advocates for the creation of an international system of equitable and indivisible security without diktat or pressure, President Vladimir Putin stated in his greeting to participants in the international socio-political hearings on Eurasian security.
"Our country consistently and persistently advocates for the creation of an international system of equitable and indivisible security that would exclude methods of diktat and forceful pressure, and guarantee a peaceful, political and diplomatic resolution of any interstate disputes and contradictions," he noted in an address, read by Andrey Klimov, a member of the bureau of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party.
The Russian president also emphasized that such an international security system must create conditions for the development of truly mutually beneficial cooperation based on universally recognized and binding legal norms.
"Such a security and cooperation architecture is especially needed for Eurasia - the largest and most populous continent on the globe," the Russian leader emphasized. "Strengthening mutual trust and constructive partnerships between Eurasian countries is undoubtedly a crucial factor in ensuring global stability and building a just, democratic world order."
In conclusion, Putin expressed confidence that the participants in the hearings would conduct meaningful, thorough discussions, and that the ideas and proposals put forward at the event would be implemented for the benefit of the countries themselves and their peoples.
