MOSCOW: No agreement about the time and place of a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been reached, as everything is still under consideration, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told journalists.
He noted that the Russian side will continue to convey the importance of this work within the framework set at the Anchorage summit to its US colleagues.

Meeting between Lavrov, Rubio
A phone conversation between Lavrov and Rubio is "approaching."
There is no agreement yet about the location of the Lavrov-Rubio meeting: "All of this is under consideration."
Preparing any documents for the meeting between Lavrov and Rubio "depends on the situation. Contacts with the Americans across different channels are ongoing, and the format can vary. Sometimes certain points are put on paper, though not necessarily as formal notes, but in a different style or format."
The special operation and the West’s support for Ukraine will be on the agenda of the Lavrov-Rubio meeting: "Certainly, the topic of the special military operation [will be included] and the policy course conducted by the Western group in support of Ukraine, which cannot suit us."
The topics will also cover issues "related to economic matters, which also require attention,"
Russia and the US also have "many issues on the bilateral agenda."
Spirit of Anchorage
The spirit of Russia-US summit on Alaska has no substitute: "Here, we do not have an alternative path."
Russia intends to convey to the US that it is necessary to work within the framework set in Alaska: "What was shaped and formulated there [in Anchorage] by the presidents [of Russia and the US] - this is what we must base all further efforts on."
Consultations on removing irritants in Russia-US relations
The date for holding consultations between Russia and the US on removing irritants in bilateral ties has not yet been agreed upon: "No, not yet."
