SEOUL: The South Korean military has recorded that a North Korean missile disintegrated into numerous fragments over the waters of the Yellow Sea on the side of the country, the Yonhap news agency reported, citing the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The NHK TV channel earlier showed footage of a bright flash in the sky resembling an explosion near the China-North Korea border.
