UNITED NATIONS:  The United Nations General Assembly has voted against the US-initiated amendment to the draft resolution on Palestine condemning Hamas’ actions, a TASS correspondent reported.

Eighty-four countries supported the amendment condemning Hamas, sixty-two were against, and twenty-five abstained. Two-thirds of votes were needed to pass the resolution.
