Thiruvananthapuram: With the spread of more virus cases, Kottayam and Idukki districts have been shifted to Covid Red Zone. While 13 people reported coronavirus in Kerala today, 13 others had been discharged from hospitals.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said, Aymanam, Vellore, Ayarkunnam, Thalayolaparambu of Kottayam district and Vandanmedu in Idukki district have been declared as hotspots. At present, the red zone consists of Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode and Malappuram districts.
Six virus cases were reported in Kottayam district, and four cases have been reported in Idukki today. In Palakkad, Malappuram and Kannur, each case has been reported.
Five of today's patients are come from Tamil Nadu. One is from abroad. It is not known where another person was infected. Others get infected through contact.
Today, six people in Kannur and four in Kozhikode witnessed negative results. In Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Malappuram districts, each person has recovered.
