LUGANSK: Soldiers of the Ukrainian armed forces are concerned about ammunition shortages and reduced funding due to arms supplies for the US-Israeli operation in Iran, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS.

According to him, Russian intelligence intercepted several conversations between Ukrainian soldiers on the front line in the special military operation zone. In these talks, Ukrainian soldiers "express deep concern about the escalation of the conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran."

"The greatest fear among Ukrainian militants is a reduction in funding and ammunition supplies from Western countries. Notably, in the two days since the conflict began, the Middle East has been discussed more frequently among Ukrainian troops than events in their own country," he added.

The United States and Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran on February 28. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, were struck. The White House justified the attack by citing alleged missile and nuclear threats from Iran. At the same time, US leadership openly called on the Iranian population to rise up against their government and seize power.

As a result of the strikes, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and several other senior figures in the leadership of the Islamic Republic were killed.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a retaliatory operation targeting sites in Israel. US military bases in Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia were also hit.
