VILNIUS: The Latvian police have detained Andrey Lankov, a Korean studies expert, while he was giving a lecture in Riga, and taken him to an immigration service office, Delfi portal quoted visitors of the event as saying.
The lecture on North Korea was scheduled for 17:00 GMT.
According to the portal, Lankov was taken away by the municipal police.
