MOSCOW: The fifth session of the Russia-Qatar Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation will take place in Doha in March, Russian president’s special representative for the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said in an interview with Izvestia.
"The fifth meeting of the Joint Russia-Qatar Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation is scheduled to be held in Doha in March 2025. It is headed by Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani," he noted. "We are actively working with the Qataris on the expansion of the legal and contractual framework. We have a lot of new promising projects and joint initiatives lying ahead."
According to Bogdanov, "the high quality of Russian-Qatari ties is reflected in the trust-based political dialogue at top level." "Regular communication has also been established between the heads of the foreign ministries," he said.
