Kochi: Malayalam cinema's 'handsome villain' Rizbava (54) has passed away. The cause of death was kidney disease as well as paralysis. He died at a private hospital in Kochi. He was shifted to a ventilator due to poor health but could not save his life.
He has acted in over 120 movies and TV serials. John Honai's character in the movie In Harihar Nagar has made a lasting impression on Rizabava.
He also won a state award in 2010 for his dubbing of the movie Karmayogi for Thalaivasal Vijay.
Born on September 24, 1966 in Kochi, his primary education was at St. Sebastian 's School, Thopumpady. He made his acting debut in the 1984 film Vishupakshi, but the film was never released.
The first film to be released in 1990 was Doctor Pashupati. He then acted as a villain and character roles in several films. He was also active in television serials.
He has played notable roles in many films including Anaval Mothiram, Bandhukkal Sathrukkal, Kabuliwala, Vadhu Doctoranu, Aniyan Bava Chettan Bava, Pokkiri Raja, Ooma Penninu Uriyada Payyan and the Simhasanam. He last acted in the movie One with Mammootty.
