Coimbatore : The Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO) jointly with India Seatrade all set to conduct the Conclave in Coimbatore on 8th February.

This conclave, across its inaugural and two focused sessions will engage the policy makers, industry leaders, experts and stakeholders in serious discussions on; meeting infrastructure and service demands; on ways to strengthen existing cargoes and to generate and attract additional cargo and derive ways for a collective and integrated approach that would enhance performance value in the logistics network and greater economic success to the region.

Special secretary (logistics), ministry of commerce Shri N Sivasailam, IAS will be the chief guest and chief commissioner of customs (Prev) Trichy Shri Ranjan Routary, IRS will be the guest of honour. Several speakers including, Ganesh Kumar Gupta president FIEO, Kerala maritime board chairman V.J. Mathew, Joint DGFT D Sridhar, ITS, Dr. P Tamilvanan advisor to Cochin Port Trust, south India mills association chairman P Nataraj, president Tirupur export association Raja M Shanmugham, south India tea exporters association chairman Dipak Shah, south Indian engineering manufacturing association president V Krishnakumar, R Murugaraj, IRTS container corporation of India, senior director of Maersk line Julian Miachel Bevis, CEO of Dakshin Bharat Container Terminal Mr. Eric Lavenu, Adani southern India ports CEO Ennarasu Karuneshan, Coastal container transporters association president Rahul B Modi among other leading exporter and logistics providers are speaking at this conclave.

Mr. Israr Ahmed, FIEO regional chairman said, the Conclave will debate on the southern hinterland connectivity and future in and around Coimbatore – southern ports exim potential.

Also address the various challenges confronting ex-im cargo, logistics and shipping industry and lay a road map for a well-established logistics infrastructure. stakeholders would get an opportunity to network with policy-makers, senior officials, business leaders and market experts to forge new partnerships and gain new business and a competitive advantage he added.

More than 200 delegates are participating across the region including exporters, importers and logistics service providers, as well as those involved in various sectors linked to the marine industry will attend the conclave to know about the opportunities in the region of south.

The Conclave begins at 2.00 pm at The Residency Tower, Avinashi Road, Coimbatore.
