The couple has already registered their marriage under the Special Marriage Act. The wedding is expected to take place this month with simple ceremony.
Families of the two have not commented on the matter. The wedding was scheduled for March but was not held due to lockdown.
Veena's first husband was a native of Srikaryam, Thiruvananthapuram. The marriage between the two did not last long. Mohammed Riyaz's first wife was Dr. Sameeha Saithalavi, a native of Pattambi. The relationship was separated two years ago. There are two children in this relationship.
Veena was the CEO of RP Tech Software, which was owned by Ravi Pillai and worked at Oracle for eight years. Veena is currently having a start-up company, Exalogic Solutions Private Limited headquartered in Bengaluru.
Riyaz contested the 2009 Lok Sabha election in Kozhikode as a CPM candidate but lost.
