Hindu ‘Sadhus’ are shown playing guitar and dancing in hideous manner in the forthcoming film ‘Dabangg 3’. ‘Sadhus’ are shown dancing, blowing their locks of hair in air on the rhythm of the song. Persons in the attire of Shrikrushna, Shriram and Lord Shiva are also shown giving blessings to Salman Khan on the tune and rhythm of this song. Such scenes are most condemnable and are making mockery of Hindus’ seats of worship. We have submitted memorandum to the Censor Board for removal of these scenes; but Censor Board always taken a soft stand under the guise of giving respect to freedom of expression of people and artists. The existing Censor Board has become a puppet in the hands of film producers and there are actually no hopes of its taking any action even in this case; therefore, we have lodged a complaint against this film under Section 295-A for hurting religious sentiments of Hindus. Hindus will take to streets and stage agitations in case the film producers or Censor Board don’t take any action for removal of such scenes, warned Shri. Parag Gokhale of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS).
In the complaint lodged with Deccan Police Station, Pune, they have demanded that cases should be filed against ‘Salman Khan Films’, ‘Arbaz Khan Productions’, producers Salman Khan, Arbaz Khan, Nikhil Dwivedi and Director Prabhu Deva, under Section 295-A of Indian Penal Code for hurting religious sentiments of Hindus. Advocate Satyendra Mulye was also present on the occasion. Police had detailed discussions with advocate Satyendra Mulye and Shri. Parag Gokhale.
It has become a practice these days in film industry to show controversial scenes of a film during its promotional drive for publicity of that film; rather than making decent films based on good stories. Anyone and everyone is making mockery of Hindus’ Deities, Saints, and ‘Sadhus’ etc. Nobody however, show guts to do such things in respect of mullah – maulavi or father-bishop because they know consequences of exhibiting such guts. We want that religious sentiments should not be hurt of followers of any of the religions. Shri. Gokhale also said that there was need to appoint scholars from religious field on Censor Board, and also passing a law for prevention of filming scenes wherein religious sentiments are hurt.
