New Delhi: Over a month after a blast at an Indian field office at Biratnagar in Nepal, India has said that its has closed down the office
"The Biratnagar Camp Office of the Embassy of India in Nepal was opened in 2008 to deal with the situation arising out of devastating Kosi floods," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said late on Monday in response to queries.
"The purpose for which this camp office was opened has been fulfilled," Kumar said adding the that the government had already decided to wind up the office and relocate the personnel.
He said this decision decision was conveyed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his Nepalese counterpart K.P. Sharma Oli during his visit to Nepal earlier this month.

It is suspected that a splinter group of Maoist-led by Netra Bikram Chand could be responsible for the blast due to its anti-Indian rhetoric in the past.
